Garam Masala Recipe – How to Make Authentic Garam Masala at Home in Just 10 Minutes

 

 Garam Masala  is the ingredient which provides a rich aroma to your dish. It is used in a little quantity but the taste is superb and gives an aromatic fragrance to your food. Most of people think that it is very difficult to make it. They don't know how to prepare it step by step at home.

      2-3 tbsp coriander seeds


      1 nutmeg


      2 tabs cumin seeds


      2 tsp black peppercorns


      6-7 cloves


     2 green (small cardamom)


     1 black cardamom


     1 small cinnamon stick


     1 bay leaf




How to Make Garam Masala powder at home


Step by step guide to make garam masala 

powder at home:


Step 1 : Dry roast


 Take a pan or medium sized iron kadhai first. put all the ingredients in the pan when it is light warm. On a low medium flame, dry roast them until aromatic. The flame should be low. Take them off the pan.


Step 2 Cool down  


Transfer all the roasted spices into a Plate and let them cool completely.


Step 3 : Grind 


Grind them into a fine powder using a mixer grinder. You can use a sieve to get big particles away from the powder. Now you will find the extremely fine powder.

Step 4 : Store


Store the powder in an airtight jar. You can store the garam masala for 3-4 months.

Tips for Aromatic Garam Masala :


1  Roast the spices on a low heat.


2  Cool all the spices fully before grinding.


3  Put them in an airtight jar for long life of the 

mix.


Use dry jar while Grinding.


5  Use cloves just half of the total peppercorns.
